WIKILAND — — The actor who plays Yoda in the new Star Wars sequel is ready to play a Star Trek role in the next installment.
Michael Dorn, who played the young Yoda from 1977’s Star Wars, says he’s open to playing a role in an upcoming sequel.
“I’ve been a big fan of the original Star Wars.
So it was fun to do something like that.
But I don’t know yet what the future holds.
I’ve been in the game for a while.
I was just kind of waiting for the right time to do it,” Dorn told The Mindy Project.
I’ve always wanted to do Star Trek, he added.
The former Disney star, who’s been in theaters for more than 50 years, says his only regret about the reboot is not getting to do a voiceover on the first movie.
It would have been awesome, he said.
If he was ever asked to play the voice of Yoda again, he says he’d be up for it.
“I think I’d have a great time doing that.
I think I could really play it very well,” he said of the role.
